The Greater Victoria Pink Salmon Festival Society takes over a hundred Capital Region District children fishing during the biennial pink salmon run.

Skippers volunteer to spend the day introducing kids to sport fishing at its finest! Sponsored by generous individuals, and many area businesses,this community event is the dream of a group of people committed to sharing the fun of going fishing with kids who do not normally have that opportunity.

Running since 2001, we are now planning for our 7th Pink Salmon Festival.

Are you interested in volunteering as a skipper or for the picnic celebration that completes the day? In the spring of 2013 we will start our newspaper advertising campaign to recruit volunteers for the next event.

Look for children’s registration opportunities at your local recreation centres, schools and clubs in the spring of 2013.
